Charity Ride update

So some of you may have noticed the irony that the day that I announced publicly that I would be undertaking this ride was also the day that I crashed whilst out on my bike!! Is this going to stop me? Not a chance!! I’ve spent the last few weeks recovering and keeping as loose as possible by continuing to do light exercise. Having seen the Doctor last week I am now upping the training regime again with regular, lengthy static bike sessions. He advised watching out for pain in the affected areas and I’m waiting for a scan on my leg and hip but otherwise all should be ok. The good news is that I don’t seem to have lost too much form so I am confident that I’ll be able to put in the necessary work before October.

Aside from pedaling that bike I’m currently spending time planning my route (which I’ll publish an idea of soon) and collecting together the equipment that I will need.

In terms of the actual ride one thing that I wanted to make clear is that I’m aiming to fund that myself in order to allow all money donated to go to the charities. As well as individual donations I’m also looking into some corporate sponsorship so if anybody has any suggestions etc. that would  be fantastic.

More info to come very soon and if you see me out on the roads give me a wave!! 🙂
